● Un espacio en el hogar donde se sienta cómodo(a) y con iluminación para leer y realizar la actividad.
● Tiempo en que se espera que realice la guía 2 horas aproximadamente.
Ø Stage 1. Connection
Think about the following questions: Is there a bakery in your town? Where is the bakery? What place of town is near the bakery? Is there a school or a park near your house? Where are they? Piensa en las siguientes preguntas: ¿Hay una panadería en tu pueblo? ¿Dónde está la panadería? ¿Qué otro lugar del pueblo está cerca de la panadería? ¿Hay una escuela o un parque cerca de su casa? ¿Dónde están ubicados?
Ø Stage 2. Clarification and collaboration
Demostrative “This is” / Demostrativo “este es/esta es”
It is used to show something or someone. In this case we are going to use it to show places of town. Look at the examples. Se utiliza para mostrar algo o alguien. En este caso lo usaremos para mostrar lugares del pueblo. Observe los ejemplos:
This is the supermarket.
This is the hospital.
This is the post office.
This is the police station.
Prepositions of place Review (Repaso de preposiciones de lugar)
Prepositions of place are used to give the location of a person, a place, or an object. Pay attention to the position of the apple to understand the meaning of each preposition. Las preposiciones de lugar se usan para dar la ubicación de una persona, un lugar, o un objeto. Preste atención a la posición de la manzana para entender el significado de cada preposición.
Look at the following examples / Observe los siguientes ejemplos:
· To talk about places / para hablar sobre los lugares:
o This is the church. It is in front of the hotel. / Esta es la iglesia. Está frente al hotel.
o This is the bank. It is between the school and the bakery. / Este es el banco. Está en medio de la escuela y la panadería.
o This is the hospital. It is near the park. / Este es el hospital. Está cerca del parque.
o This is my grandma’s house. It is behind the supermarket. Esta es la casa de mi abuela. Está atrás del supermercado.
· To aks and answer questions / para preguntar y responder preguntas:
o Where is the museum? The museum is far from the church / It is far from the church.
§ ¿Donde está el museo? El museo está lejos de la iglesia.
o Where is the bakery? The bakery is to the left of the bank / It is to the left of the bank.
§ ¿Dónde está la panadería? La panadería está a la izquierda del banco.
o Where is the school? The school is to the right of the bank / It is to the right of the bank.
§ ¿Dónde está la escuela? La escuela está a la derecha del banco.
o Where is the fire station? The fire station is next to the hospital / It is next to the hospital.
§ ¿Dónde está la estación de bomberos? La estación de bomberos está a la par del hospital.
